About Me

 

My name is Stephen; I currently study media production at the University of Hertfordshire. I enjoy researching into things that interest me, getting behind the scenes insights into how things come to fruition. I have had an interest in media from a young age; in particular I have always enjoyed creating my own stories especially involving superheroes. When I was younger I created a YouTube channel where I made a series of videos around my passion for superheroes, which included stop-motion and videogames. Although I eventually stopped this for a while I plan to restart this channel later on, bringing my experience I have learnt from my studies to make my content more professional and entertaining. I always try to the best of my ability to achieve a good standard of work and am currently in my 2nd year of my course. I eventually hope to get into the comic book industry as an artist or writer. Art, specifically illustration have also been a big interest of I enjoy lots of varying artistic styles in comic books, Alex Ross and Steve McNiven have some of my favourite styles. Inspired by comics I have created many different superheroes I hope I could one day publish. Along with sketches I have created of these characters I have come up with rough background identities, story lines and themes that I continue to refine and better as I get older. On the left of the page are two short college documentaries about my passion.
